I've just picked up a copy of the 1952 reprint of J. Ross Brown's "Explorations in Lower California 1868", can one of you experts tell me if it is
particularly rare? It has some WONDERFUL illustrations.

It usually sells for around $20. It is not very rare. It was re-printed twice, lastly by my friend, Spencer Murry. Yours is the earlier one.

Did you find it at one of those remainder sites?

I actually picked it up at our local used book store here in Mt. Shasta. It was priced at $19.00 and I traded for it with some stuff off my shelf.
This is a cool place...three bookstores in a town of about 4500 people.
Oh, and thanks for the info. Mr. Johns
