Loreto, Baja California Sur (BCS). This morning, the Secretary General of the Government, José Saúl González Núñez, confirmed a violent incident
in Loreto, Baja California Sur. During an interview following the security meeting, the official reported the execution of approximately six people,
including a minor, in the Miramar neighborhood, which had already experienced problems in previous months.
“We had two incidents in Loreto today, around 7:00 a.m., where, apparently, approximately six people were executed. We are already working on it;
the Secretary of Public Security is traveling there to address these incidents immediately,” he stated.
According to González Núñez, the attack occurred around 7:00 a.m. in the Miramar neighborhood, where armed individuals entered a home and murdered
six people. “Unfortunately, they entered a home and executed the families, and we also have information that there is a minor among them,” the
secretary stated, lamenting the gravity of the situation.
The official specified that the report came in between 7:00 and 7:15 a.m., and that security protocols were immediately activated. “We are already
working on it; the Secretary of Public Security is traveling there to address these events immediately,” explained González Núñez, highlighting
the coordination between the different levels of government.
The Miramar neighborhood has been identified by the secretary himself as a conflict zone in recent months, so authorities consider it a priority to
reinforce the police presence and expedite the investigations. So far, no details have been released about those responsible or the motive for the
attack, but official information is expected in the coming hours.
The secretary reiterated that they are working to clarify the facts and guarantee security in the region. “The different levels of government are
already coordinating,” he stated, emphasizing that the goal is to address the situation immediately and prevent similar incidents from happening
again in the area.
Sad to hear this! While my love for Baja centers around the sparsely populated areas, Loreto is my favorite city.
Sad indeed. Hoping for better times ahead.chippy - 11-19-2025 at 03:21 PM
Wow! I was there 5 days ago and it was the same nice town and vibe.

Miramar is on the northwest end of town. The main entrance is across from the main pantheon. I live in Loreto 7ish months of the year out in the
desert scrub. It’s still a great place, but yeah, there’s some nasty stuff happening lately. I was in Centro yesterday and the whole town had a
really ‘off’ vibe. It seemed like something odd was going on. I guess that may have been it….chippy - 11-19-2025 at 07:51 PM

November 21, 2025 UPDATE - BCS Noticias
Following operations by the Security Council, two men were apprehended, and three AK-47 assault rifles with magazines and live ammunition, two
vehicles, and tactical equipment were seized on the highway between Ciudad Constitución and Puerto San Carlos.
During patrol, members of the State Criminal Investigation Agency (AEIC) spotted a vehicle matching the description of one linked to the homicides
that occurred on Wednesday, November 19, in Loreto.
When ordered to stop, the occupants accelerated and exited the road; one of them fired at the police vehicle, and the agents returned fire.
"The apprehended individuals identified themselves as Germán 'N', nicknamed 'El Grande', and Iván 'N', nicknamed 'El Tarza'," stated the State
Attorney General's Office (PGJE).
Inside the vehicle, between the front seats, a black firearm and a tactical vest with magazines were found. A third weapon and a belt of ammunition,
apparently 7.62 caliber, were found in the back seat.
Finally, the individuals and the seized items were turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office, which will determine their legal status.
