Costa Rica adventure

Went to Costa Rica for 16 days. Fantastic – so much diversity and natural wonders. Saw a lot of wildlife - crocodiles, birds, monkeys, frogs, bats, pigs, hummingbirds, coati, toucan.

Hanging bridges hike – saw two of the elusive quetzals

The 1.5 hr. boat trip to our hotel in the Tortuquero rain forest.

Hot springs at La Fortuna

Macaw in the huge mango trees at a rest stop

Tamarindo - Playa Grande. Took the short water taxi, and later the estuary tour. Ocean is so warm.

Monkeys at Manual Antonio Natl Pk - many of them, and pretty bold at times, throwing stuff out of backpacks on the beach.

Beautiful beach at Manual Antonio - snorkling pretty decent

I have a friend who moved to Costa Rica - specifically Guanacaste Province near the tourist town of Sámara - about two years ago from Massachusetts. It's been an adjustment, but he has no regrets. He and his wife have a small farm and produce their own eggs, cheese, yogurt, honey and other staples.

Oh man, that looks great. My kind of beach.

Manual Antonio's beach comes in stereo from the ocean on both sides.

Sit and take it all in. Mother Earths Stereo is there for all. It is well

worth the quiet time to appreciate what a special place it is.

Or was? My how time goes by. Almost forty years since I sat still and

took it all in at this special beach. Thanks for the memories.
