With tournament week approaching, there is plenty happening in the Los Cabos tuna report. Daliken sportfishing
San Luis, Iman and Vinorama are producing the more reliable action, with fish across different sizes and opportunities for larger tuna. Smaller fish
are responding to sardine chumming, while the bigger grade is coming on trolled small skipjack.
Captain Pollo followed his 614-pound black marlin with a tuna over 100 pounds the next day. Captain Chuyito also caught a tuna over 100 pounds aboard
a 26-foot Super Panga. Those catches give anglers something interesting to discuss as the October tournament calendar gets moving.
As of this October 11 report, the first fishing day of Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore is just three days away. Fishing runs October 14–16. Black
& Blue follows with fishing days October 21–23, ten days from this update.
For visitors, the coming weeks offer a chance to combine a fishing trip with the atmosphere around the marina and the tournament events.
If you are booking your own charter, our recommendation remains smaller tuna for most tourists and the larger-fish program for more experienced
anglers. Tell the crew what you want from the day so the plan fits your group.
Official schedules: Los Cabos Offshore and Black & Blue.
Who is heading down for tournament week, and who is fitting in a tuna trip beforehand?
