The photo is NOT doctored. It was taken last Friday the 29th, my birthday, somewhere in Baja! :saint:

Sallysouth - 5-7-2005 at 03:57 AM

With a IRS trany and 930 CSs you can have the eng/transaxel quite a bit higher than the wheel centers. - Think it looks fine to me.

What struck me odd was the visible lack of engine and drivetrain. I can't imagine a VW engine there. Hydraulic motors?

bajaloco - 5-7-2005 at 11:58 AM

Take a close look at the wheels...can't see any backing plates...you can see the ground thru the wheel spokes...Where's the BRAKES????

Packoderm - 5-7-2005 at 12:53 PM

But we don't see the motor.

Bruce, is there an echo in here?

Bruce: you're not suppose to go back and change the context of your posts (only typo's and grammer). You raised a valid and good point at first, but you went back in time and made yourself sound smarter.

I suppose an engine could be hiding behind the tires. So, then where is the transaxle? Wheres the tunnel? I think u would see it if the engine was hanging down that low.

Sallysouth - 5-7-2005 at 04:01 PM

OK Gato, give it up! Is it a peddal driven car or simply propeled by shifting sand, geckos beneath,:or maybe it is actually an amphibian(sp) kind of car/vessel, waiting for the incoming tide? Do I get a prize if I guessed anything right, like a ride????:bounce::bounce::o

Did Barb get tired of it so soon????

bajalou - 5-10-2005 at 07:59 AM

Saw it parked in Baja with a for sale sign yesterday - Looked so good I was tempted. But I restrained myself!!

OMG LOU! Please don't tell Jim!! LOl Lol!

elgatoloco - 5-10-2005 at 03:45 PM

Barb's new bug is the first of the "Wilma Flinstone" Special Edition Baja bugs propeled by the operators foot power, of course.

It is GREAT on the down hills and an easy drive down wind. It IS for sale and can be viewed in person if desired.

It is located roughly 33 kilometers south of the San Felipe airport road across from 'Chelo's Cafe',home of a very excellent chile relleno omelette I might add.

As stated previously the photo is NOT doctored. Look closely and you CAN see the 2x4's propping the body on the tires.:P:lol:

bajalou - 5-10-2005 at 03:46 PM

Yup - saw it there yesterday - still for sale!!
