Trailer Insurance

Is there a way to insure your travel trailer/5th wheel if setup in Baja year round? It is my understanding that your unit is no longer insured once it is disconnected from the tow vehicle and your only supposed to have it in Baja 90 days out of the year in the policies I've found. Any info would be much appreciated.

Cyndarouh- That's one of the places I checked with they do not cover you year round or if your not attached to tow vehicle. Thanks, Chispa

Have you checked with an agent near where your trailer is located.

TW- It is in NM, no insurance agents I have spoke with has been able to help. Was told by an old ins co that I used to have a policy with in Baja Norte that GE Seguros Ins Co used to insure them under homeowners policy but no longer, Thanks

On the net. We do business with these folks. Or...look at DavidK's site, there is a link there for insurance that he seems to think is good.

Try Lewis & Lewis Ins. Agency 800-966-6830 They are in Beverly Hills. Prices in the past were very reasonable.

when you get to your Baja location, check for homeowners insurance on the trailer with the local Mexican insurance co. Remember, your trailer can legaly only be in Mexico as long as your FM? is valid.
