The fence across the road to the Juncalito beach was torn down over the weekend.
Then it was repaired. It was up as of this afternoon.
Reportedly, the beach is under the control of Fonatur. Rumor has it that business has been poor of late for local Loreto trailer parks, who complained
to Fonatur that the free camping at Juncalito was hurting their business. Pretty goofy, but that's all I've been able to find out.

god idea just build a Wal Mart then every will want to camp there and you can use the beaches for dumps.

Bruce, that's hilarious! I think camping at Juncalito was abused. There was a contingent of permanent residents who overtook one side, and trash was
EVERYWHERE, and their accumulated "necessities" made it look like a dump site. It could be regulated to 2 weeks max, with a small daily fee, and work
out for everyone, with a couple jobs to collect the fee and keep it tidy. Keeping Juncalito undisturbed is more important than ever now with the crap
north and south of it.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to camp there. Considering how many people have walked behind their tents & campers into the sand dune & did
their duties for the past many years. Plus add the Easter crowd over the same years that were 'jammed' together and using the same "facilities".
The diseases coming from that area must be horrendous!!!!!!!!!! Though I haven't heard of any. I'm sure they are out there.
