We all loaded on the erik and it left the san felipe dock saturday morning. It sailed south to isla raza, partida, salsipudes and san lorenzo where
we fished for two days. Fishing was slow the first day--I caught just one yellow,#20 one white sea bass #10 and three cabrilla all around #10.
Second day got better--two yellows,#20, a few more cabrilla some nice golden spotted bass, six huge triggers and lots of spotted bay bass. Morning of
third day I caught nine yellows in 11/2 hours all #18 to #22 plus another #15 cabrilla. Right there down yellowtail alley. Moved to bola and fished
inside but the fishing was slow. Lots of small yellows that were released and the usual bottom fish. Moved to punta la asamblea and fished the
shoreline. Caught bonito, barracuda, white sea bass and some very large sierra, a few more cabrilla in the #5 to#10 range. The afternoon of the 5th
day we are south of gonzaga fishing around punta parajue de chencho, more large sierra and cabrilla up to #20. The cabrilla really started biting
after the sun set over the mountains. The sixth day we fished the golden reef for three hours and that is all the time needed there to sack out on
quality bottom fish. Nice #10 pargo and #5 to#7 golden spotted bass even a black sea bass around #40. At night giant squid along with macks kept us
in real nice bait. Returned back to san felipe 5:30pm thursday. All around the trip was very nice. The two cooks on board kept quality food on the
table three times a day. The bartender poared some mighty tasty c-cktails and the beer was always cold. The crew was extremely courteous, helpfull
and always right there. I don't know what happened but the erik of old is dead and the new one is a real fun time with everything running way to
smooth to be located in baja. Fishin rich gives this trip two thumbs up.

Rich, just email them to me and I will post them...
Good to hear of a great trip...
I talked with Baja Mur the other day... he will be in the cape area for a few weeks, soon... wants to 'hook up' with you!
There was no more answering machine on your phone, as he tried calling you (while you were on the Erik).

Great report - sounds like the Erik will be my next choice. If you haven't already, send your report to Gene at mexfish.com for his weekly report.
How big were those sierra and is it unusual to find them this far north this early or are they a local population?

Santiago---The sierra were #6 to#7 nice and fat. I would not say they are early but left over from winter as the water has not heated up yet. fishin

Rich, the digital camera would have come with a cord to download the images to your PC, and a CD.
Load the CD, then connect the cord between the camera and the PC... follow instructions that will pop up.... then open up 'my pictures' or what ever
file you down loaded them to, and email me the ones you want to share (by clicking on each image you want to send... or just send one at a time the
ones you want to show... Send me an email telling me what the photo is of (where taken, type fish, person, etc.)
Otherwise, bring it here to Casa de David K...
