Anybody know of a good source of either new, or rebuilt, 4 cyl. engines for 1989 Isuzu Trooper?

Hi Barry, Hey, I know a guy in Redding that has a auto repair shop and has been there 15 or so yrs. I finally looked him up last trip down. I will
see if I can dig up his number for you. He might be able to help. You mi ght even know him... Don Pendleton. Does that ring a bell? Sharks

The name does not ring a bell, but I am really anxious to find a good mechanic, so any help would be sincerely appreciated..
I just got a call from the Service Mgr. at the local Buick dealer (no Isuzu dealer in town) where I was having them put in a new front left axle
assembly (both left CV boots went out) in my 1989 Isuzu Trooper. They originally quoted me 2 hours labor. 4 hours later they call and tell me they
made a mistake----it takes 4.7 hours to put in an axle assembly (supplied by me). At $80 per hour you can do the math and realize that I need a good,
reasonable mechanic, even tho the Buick dealer mechanic is a good man, and a friend. Prices are outrageous.
I hate it when this happens!! (but fixing the trooper is worth it, I suppose)
