I concur with all of the positive thoughts about all vets.

These men and women are the epitome of our desires toward freedom. Without them we would quite possibly....not be here today. They are not forgotten and will not be forgotten. Godspeed.

I was wondering before I opened up this section if there would be any reflections and wishes for our vets. Today many of us enjoyed the day, for me at the beach in La Jolla with my daughter swimming in an enormous tide pool, so I also remember my good fortune is thanks to the lifetime sacrafices of our vets and their families. Thank you for giving us so much and hopefully we remember it each day.

On this day when some of use Vets must pause to wonder why we lived when others died...

Let us pledge to re-double our efforts to insure that no more brave Americans die in wars that have nothing to do with our national defense. We must only spend these lives when we HAVE NO CHOICE.

Here's to the men of 3-9-3 USMC who never got back to the world.

My love and thanks to my uncle

Kenneth Nienstedt.

The angel of the family, an airforce pilot who lost his life in the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I never knew him in person, but I do know him from the people who loved him.

Rest in peace and fly high.
