The race and traffic

A-OK - 6-4-2005 at 10:20 PM

The border on Sundays and Mondays after the races are just a post party:lol:

I only wish I was stuck down there........ I had to cancel yet another race (last years 1000 and now the 500) because my trany grenaded on Thursday. No chase for the Dodge once again:no:

At least I can get a fix from the Weatherman livestream feed online to hear whats been going on. Sounds like our fears of Simpson came true... close to 40 vehicles bottlenecked for over two hours because one truck snapped a tie rod.

cool

We live 2 blocks from the race route and have been hearing the noise from the vehicles and helicopters for the past 24 hrs.

I gotta tell you though, I've never seen a baja race and this was really, really cool. We watched the start yesterday morning and spent a few hrs last night viewing the finish. These racers have balls. My folks are visiting us from upstate NY and absolutely loved watching the race too. ;D
