Anyone know the poop on the rumoured upcoming recall on Tacomas' and Tundras' ball joints? A short item in the major Sacramento newspaper said a
manufacturing defect was causing "pemature failure in some vehicles"????? and to expect recall notices to be sent in June.

You will receive your notice by carrier pigeon. It will arrive about five minutes after you breakdown in the wilds of Baja.
You must return the vehicle to a certified dealership--in the United States--for repairs.

4Baja: I assume that means only those with matching numbers will get the recall???? or will all of us get it and have to bring the unit in for a
match?4baja - 6-6-2005 at 08:40 PM
from what i understand ,only vehicals with matching #s will get the new ball joints. i was told that the only vehicals that would received the ball
joints would be vehicals with dates that matched the dates with the defective ones. my tacoma has allmost 100,000 miles on it with no problems so i dont believe that i will receive them but who knows
