Cabo trip

We were in Cabo san Lucas last week 6-13-6-20. We went out in a panga Tuesday from Medano beach and trolled several miles north back and forth for no luck. We were fishing inshore close to the beach. On Saturday we fished on a cruiser Cabo Marlin 2. We saw over 10 marlin but couldn't get one to bite. We threw bait(caballito) right in front of their nose many times but they were not interested. Back at the dock we saw several marlin were caught and one boat had a tuna that weighed in at 220 lbs. The best day of fishing came the day we were leaving. My 6 year old son Juan Pablo and I went out in front of our hotel (pueblo bonito rose) about 7:00am and started casting crocodiles off the beach. Soon after we caught a small pompano, then another. Next we caught what I think was a lizzard fish. I swithched to a blue and chrome ironman #1 metal jig and was watching fish boil off the beach. Casting into the boils I immediately hooked up to a stronger fish. I immediatley handed the rod over to my son. My son was struggling to bring this fish in. To our surprise it was a small yellowtail about 6 pounds. This made the trip, our first yellowtail from shore. All our fish were released and we couldn't get anymore bites after 8:00am so we headed off to breakfast and pack up for the trip home. Water temps were cold and the weather was windy and cool. Paul
