anybody had any luck fishing here???we tried some shore casting and didnt have much luck but i saw alot of kelp pattys out there and noticed a guy was running fishing charters just down the beach....oh btw this is the only place i've ever seen porpoises stay in the same spot and play for at least 7 hrs....right in front of our camp,quite amazing:O:O

Head up the coast a bit outside of town. There is quite a bit of good perch fishing to be had.

The famous Castros fish camp is located in Erindira, thats probably the guy you saw. They do mostly bottom fishing there for Lings, Reds, Blancos and the occasional seasonal WSB or Jurel.

Another similar place is a little further south by Camalu called Pirates Cave. So So hotel on the Bluff and pangas available 1/2 mile away at Morenos sportfishing. Shore fishing is not so hot at both places, I prefer the other side!

and an entire driveway filled with fish with 2 other friends. It happened the day the u.s. played Mexico in soccer, 3 or so years ago. I imagine that they still remember as we gave it to the Captain of our boat out of Castros for the game.:bounce::bounce:
