I just read about a coupon book offered for Alaskan tourists. It costs $99, and has two-for-one deals, hotel discounts, freebies, etc. similar to the
Entertainment books that some of you may be aware of. I believe the Alaskan Toursaver was originally published as a fund raiser, but continues to be
very popular. I don't know what would prevent anyone (like Bruce, JR, our esteemed moderator?) from creating a coupon book of this type - either for
local establishments (Mulege only) or Baja-wide. Seems like a good idea. Coupons for Two-for-one fishing; free bamboo salt shakers with purchase of
two entrees with drinks at some restaurant; $5 off whale watching; etc. For one thing, it's cheap advertising. Why not?
