I just wanted to say that I have been to this board so many times. Reading posts and your exps enlightens me. I have never been to Rosarito nor Ensenada. I have only been to Tiquana and everytime I go I have the best time. My friends usually take me where many Americans don't roam. It is my dream one day to move to Mexico and venture out. I don't know what it is....but I am scared to go to these place I have named alone. Why? How can I take a day trip to Rosarito or Ensenada with out paying tons of money to some "company"? Any normal people out there looking for friends to show what's out there?

No reason to be scared. I'm a 50yr. old woman that travels all over Baja usually with just my young son. (heck, I even pick up hitch-hikers, Mexican and American) and you don't have to pay some company to take a day trip. Just hop the bus in TJ and go! There is nothing to be afraid of and the bus is lots of fun, I'll bet that you will probably hook up with others on the bus to pal with. Just use common sence, don't flash around a bunch of money, don't go getting drunk to put your self in danger of not being aware of your surroundings. It's been a few years since I've taken the bus, but at that time it was $6.25USD all the way to Ensenada (I've been told there is a free shuttle to the Rosarita Beach Hotel (can't say for sure if this is true, or where to catch it though.) Go and have fun....
