I guess we'll go down and see the fireworks at Hood River if we have the energy that late on a Monday night. Last time, I put a futon in the back of
the pick-up to watch the show and had to be woken up to drive home.
Anyone else care to share their plans ?
Are there any organized fireworks at any of the gringo enclaves down there ?
Not so organized

But our area has had a spectacular display every night. Not one injury I have heard of, dogs are freaked and Andi wet the living room floor out of
fear last night.
Great stuff this year, more display and less noise. bajajudy - 7-3-2005 at 05:28 PM
When we were up there for the Pyramid book signing, the fireworks at the 4 seasons park scared my two mutts so badly that they slept with us in our
over cab camper bed. It was real crowded but one of them was so shaken that I thought that she would have a heart attack.

Don't mix. And most dogs are! Many dogs internationally are lost because of freaking out over the fireworks, jumping over fences, and getting hit by
cars. They REALLY freak out!! Watch your dogs.

worth of fireworks is about what went off on our beach last night. Every house is full here as well as the beaches north of us. Everyone seems to
have gone all out this year.
Better than any of the shows I have seen anywhere. No injuries (excluding those with hangovers!) and a spectacular show.
The dogs should reappear by Wed. or so. They are crammed under the bed!woody with a view - 7-4-2005 at 10:55 AM
my son and i will paddle out to the end of the OB Pier around 8:40 to take up positions for the best show around. float on your back and look STRAIGHT
UP at the show along with 200 of our neighbors.
good thing it's flat, because coming in is always more survival than anything else.
I second JR, secure your dogs

Fireworks at Los Medanos ("The Dunes", just south of Cantamar near Rosarito) have been going off since Friday. Daytime and night time, all the time.
There are lots of big booms and many big rockets going up with fire blossoms.
Our German Shepherd puppy is totally freaked out by the sudden noises and bolts and hides in remote corners.
Keep a close watch on your pets, don't risk losing them.Sharksbaja - 7-4-2005 at 09:08 PM

We had some marooons camping on the beach start a bombardment at 11 p.m. Sunday night. A member of the family went down and threw them out of camp.
Cool.
