BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES
What a terrific find for 4 road weary touristas-Costa del Sol has a terrfic view of this beautiful bay. Indoor & Outdoor dining, food is tasty
& home cooked. Rooms are clean & large, comfortable beds, hot water shower, 24 hour electricity & AC as long as the generator doesn't run
out of fuel. Roosters crow at sunrise & fisherman set out early for the day so expect an early AM. But the sunrise over the bay is worth it!!

Yes, from people who have stayed there... also, amigos of mine have told me.

I think the place is suited for those traveling with people who demand the little things like AC, clean sheets, and clean everything else. However, it
is on the wrong side of the main road and too far away from the beautiful bay. I prefer Casa Diaz.

It's a nice place, nice rooms, good restaurant and bar.

What whimpy I got to be.

So a desert whimp like me would be happy there, I take it. Sorry Jockies...I need a.c. to sleep and a hot shower. What whimpy I got to be.
Say...just HOW far off the road is this place?
Packoderm - 7-6-2005 at 08:16 PM
It's nearly road-front. I'd stay there before shelling out the big bucks for the new resort.

Yankee, it is right on the main road entering town, in town... just past Las Hamacas, on the right... Consider Raquel and Larry's if you want to be
close to the beach... they have daytime and evening AC ... until the generator is off.

Yankee, it's on the main drag in the village.....I haven't stayed there, but, did check out a couple of rooms when I picked up Captian Mike's
passengers at the airport and took them there. This May went by there a few times to meet friends and have a bite. Rooms are very nice and food is
good.

Are you sure about the AC at R & L David?, I was told it is 24hr.
David K - 7-6-2005 at 09:42 PM
Well all the better, but the generator is pretty noisey to run all night I would think. I think Raquel and Larry's email is bahiatours at yahoo.com
maybe ask them?
Still the best place to stay in town, IMO.

As far as distance from the water, it might take 2-3 minutes to walk there. The shore is not as good as near Guillermo's and Casa Diaz. But the rooms
are way better, as is the restaurant. Not quite the atmosphere of eating at Guillermo's, but nice.

We ALWAYS try to stay there! We have had good food & not so good food but Victoria is GREAT! We have always had a nice stay(several times) and
enjoyed our fun with her. As to A/C I cannot say for sure as we have never been there when we needed it? We have also stayed at Guillermos, where we
had a terrible room! But the food was good! Have stayed too at Las Hemacas. The room was ok and we did not eat there so can't say about food or A/C,
but would not hesitate to stay again if (as before) Casa del Sol was booked up.

The large Las Hamacas restaurant building is now the Art Center, but, they have a small place just to the north of the old building....the food is
great as always.

Oh, and you can't sit outside, (bummer)

I stayed at the Casa del Sol once at it was great. Just as good were the margaritas from guillermo's big tasty jumbo ones. Anyway we woke up early one
morning and walked outside waiting to be picked up by our fishing guide. The sunrise was the hi-light of the trip. It was unbelivable spectactular. I
told my friend that this is so beautiful it makes me want to open up a ballena of pacifico right then and there. I just wanted to relax and watch it.
Very very nice sunrise down there.

That is why tent camping is the best (although I always have a cabin, I usually sleep in a tent) once that sun starts to come up it calls to you,
nothing better than a dead quiet camp and watching that sunrise! (BTW, a cup of "Constant Comment" smells and tastes much better than a Pacifico
with the sunrise. LOL!
