woody plants vs. cacti

Now David...

We don't want to confuse the new-comers to Baja of the differences between cacti and plants that might be confused as cacti. The boojum, Idria columnaris, which is also one of my favorite Baja plants, is in the ocotillo family. These are actually spiny shrubs or trees. Boojum's are also known Cirio's, though I wonder if there are other local slang terms for them? Anyway, pretty much any native plant of Baja is a friend of mine cactus or not ...:biggrin::yes:;);D
