Al pastor...mi favorita.
I love it when they slice just a little of the pineapple and flip it into the taco...... on the edge of the knife with such skill.

why don't you see Al Pastor in the USA??
I live in Oxnard, there is more real mexican food here than any where ('cept mex). Yet there is no pastor, not on a spit anyway.. is it a health
dept. thing?? I want some and I want some now!!
Baja Judy I may be making a bonzai run to "El Trailero" taco stand in El Sauzal this weekend thanx to you...TT

My favorite, too!!!
Come to Marin County, there are taquerias that do al pastor!

Yes it is a health thing. the problem is the meat cooks on the outside and stays raw in the middle. if they get a big run on tacos they could end up
cutting it before it is cooked properly. but I have never seen this happen in Mexico. I always watch.

When I lived in Fremont CA, the best Mexican food in town was a truck just off Fremont Blve on Peralta. That is where I was introduced to Al Pastor -
wow -
Some of the Asadaros in Mexicali serve it. My favorite. - unless they also have carnitas - then big choice.

That's good to know bajalou, 'cause we are going to do something different this trip to baja. We are going though Mexicali. I will probably be
asking you all kinds of questions about the place as we have NEVER been down that way, and want to experience the OLD BAJA again.
And OMG I love those tacos!!!!!!!!
I WANT 3 RIGHT NOW!
