We just spent a ffive days at Estero. Got back this afternoon, a very easy drive with a 40 min. wait at the San Ysido border.The resort was very quiet and calm(midweek). There is still a little bit of the Red Tide in the bay but the water is warm, and sea life is so abundant, it blew my mind! There are so many beautiful birds everywhere that it felt like we were in an aviary. The fish in the bay are biting almost whatever you throw at them, and almost every cast will result in a fiesty bay bass or halibut.Light tackle(8lb.) and squigglies will do the trick, or try to get some ghost shimp at low tide.So much fun! The bass are spawning right now so be gentle with them and release. The surf was clean on the beach breaks, nice little south-west. U2U me if you want more info !Have fun, Sally
