Sunday Brunch at Jesse's Tijuana restaurant

David K - 8-8-2005 at 03:42 PM

Baja Angel and I joined up with Baja Cactus (Antonio) and Lorenia, along with some friends of theirs and went to Jesse's 'La Hacianda de Tijuana' for their Sunday brunch (till 3:30pm).

It was great and with so many choices too... We were totally full after tasting so many things from omlettes to bbq meats to birria to pollo, carne, shrimp, ceviche, fruit, desserts... yum!

Jesse is off on Sunday's, but we talked with him over the phone...

Wow David

What did he say?

He apologized for missing us, but would like us to return when he is there (every day but Sunday)... and he looks forward to having all the Nomads sample his new Baja menu... Special events could be heald there as well... They have a huge room. We dined outside by the water wall...

I'd recommend reading Anthony Bourdain before going for Sunday Brunch ANYWHERE. I want to try Jesse's "A" team cooking first. Maybe I'll settle for leftovers sometime when there are no viable alternatives.

I met first time Jesse two weeks ago at his restaurant.
I had a very nice meal in probably the nicest restaurant of TJ.
I hope one day he would like to open a restaurant in La Paz.
I will be happy to finance such a venture.
