You'll need to copy and past the link as nomad software won't allow it to link properly.

Ahhhh...internet marketing...
Make Google find you...

Keywords are "basic" words used on your webpage.

To make a search engine find your website you need to word your paragraphs correctly so it can find you. The internet is soooo big.

If you word your webpage correctly you can be on the first page of the search engine without paying a fee.

The biggest search engine is GOOGLE.com
This should always be you goal.

Your page says you use these words the most.....

http://www.bajabigfish.com/
Top 20 words on page: Words Count
html 47
images 30
jpg 18
loreto 14
gif 12
fishing 11
from 10
height 10
thx 10
width 10
you 10
border 9
line 9
fish 7
info 6
our 6
out 6
we 6
at 5
fish_report 5

If I type "Loreto" in Google you don't even come up.
You NEED to rerwrite your index webpage with better keywords.

You rank #41 on Yahoo
and #34 on MSN

If you type "Loreto Fishing" you rank #14 because of your page "articles.html"

This kinda stuff could take up your whole day.....:biggrin:

Keywords..

flyfishinPam - 8-9-2005 at 11:47 PM

don't have time for all that now bt I'll figure it out and then I'll probably have to hire more staff! So I need to be redundant and keep repeating the best keywords over and over? :?:

that could almost describe some who frequent here

Pam

Don't repeat words over and over or "they" will "ban" your site and "WE" need your fishing information.

You do have time!!!...you just need to "prioritize"....stop eating and drinking and sleeping ...that will save a couple of minutes:tumble:

Stay away from "FLASH" and "ENTER" pages....kiss of death
Search engines treat these like porno pages and penalize you.

Keep it simple...thats the key. Kinda like baja:P:P

Thanks for the advice

...but I will eat and sleep some before I tackle this later this summer...after I get some fishing in myself for a change! Sounds like you know what you're talking about. I guess my website just happened by accident, like my being here in the first place. And I've always hated the Enter pages, boring as hell. I have a short attention span and I figured others might too when I designed my page. In fact I'm the person that used to use my services so it was pretty easy to connect to my target audience. I program it all myself, learned in aobut a day with a book on my lap because I couldn't afford the $50/hour the webmasters were chargning in 1996. I like to create and I can look at a page and visualize the html code. I was a synthetic organic chemist before doing this and I had the same gift as it is important to visualize reactions in three dimensions. Weird huh?

Degoogled

Sharksbaja - 8-10-2005 at 01:41 PM

Interesting for sure. When I hid a page behind a page that was inscribed with "sharks seafood" 1000 times over on my site I started receiving 10,000 hits a day and was #1 on Google for those two words.. I got so excited. Then two month later I checked and and was way back on the search pages. Apparently, I got degoogled for my sneaky ways.

I then deleted the page and it took months to get back on top. Be careful with those keywords.
