"...SAN DIEGO ? A former police officer wanted in Alabama for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage boy was jailed in Vista today after being found
in Mexico, according to the FBI.
Romney Lynn Prince, 38, was detained yesterday in Vinorama, Baja California, said Daniel Dzwilewski, FBI Special Agent in Charge in San Diego.
Prince, who was working at a restaurant in the resort community near Los Cabos, was indicted by a state grand jury for allegedly assaulting the boy in
Gulf Shores, Ala., in July 2003..."Anonymous - 11-20-2005 at 08:47 AM
BAY MINETTE, Ala. - A former Gulf Shores police officer who fled from police for more than a year has pleaded guilty to sodomy in an attack on a
teenage boy.
Romney Lynn Prince, 38, was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison as part of a plea deal with prosecutors, Chief Assistant District Attorney Judy
Newcomb said.
Prince faced a possible life sentence for four counts of sodomy, but agreed to the plea deal because he wanted to spare his family the trial, his
lawyer said.
His attorney, Pascal Bruijn, said his cllient isn't an evil person.
"He is simply a human being who fell from grace by a momentary and uncharacteristic lapse of judgment," Bruijn said.
Three months ago, authorities caught Prince in Baja California, a state in Mexico, the country where they believe he lived as a fugitive.
Prince was first arrested in July 2003, and resigned as an officer soon after. Authorities said the charges were not connected to his work with the
police force.woody with a view - 11-20-2005 at 01:23 PM

hopefully, he'll fall from the face of the earth into the hell on earth that prison is for a child rapist. i assume his original 15 years will be
reviewed in light of his "flight"?

BCS is full of perps, both male and female, living here under assumed names and stories.
Once the required passport is mandatory to return back into the USA, more and more of these fugitives will be "found out" and arrested and deported
back to their countries, for their arrest and booking and trial, and prison time.
Mexico and the USA are working smoothly together on this.

There is a restaurant in vinorama?
I know there is a little shack selling cold beers and tacos run by a woman from san diego. They use one of our starband systems. I suppose it could
be called a restaurant.
And what the hell was a gringo doing working in a restaurant?Dave - 11-21-2005 at 08:33 PM

What, there's a law that sez they can't?
If so, then maybe we should fire all the Mexicans working for restaurants in the EU.
You think he was the dishwasher? Bajabus - 11-22-2005 at 09:07 AM
I don't recall seeing a sink last time I was there, paper plate sort of affair. Maybe they have water now?
I sincerely doubt he was listed as an administrador but who knows, maybe Joan set him up as one.
Do you think la migra would give him an FM-3 lucrativa if he said he was going to be a waiter or dishwasher?
