Well, nobody's put anything on here for a month and the three "main" forums have gotten very tiresome lately, so I thought I'd share something I saw recently, if not in Baja, within sight of it.

We're all familiar with bumperstickers, vanity plates and decals extolling the virtues of someone's "tierra"; the whatever capital of the USA, world, universe-yada yada.

Friday, I spotted this one- a large window decal- in the parking lot of the San Luis IGA (pronounced eegah here), denoting the most salient feature of this neck of the woods (except there's no woods):

YUMA
P-nche
CALORON
INSOPORTABLE

(except for Doug's software)

Oso, what does the sticker try and convey? Something negative about Yuma?

Thanks!

No seas huevon, David. Get out your dictionary and give it a try.

Lo siento, pero no estoy en casa hoy. Si tengo un dicionario de espanol no es problema, verdad?

Actually almost 5, grover. We count anything under triple digit as comfortable. (Mid October to mid March) Where is that lava, really?

OK, David. It says: "Yuma, damned intolerable heat*"

*caloron is a superlative, like "big heat".
