I am from Arizona and I am tired of the sea of Cortez heat and humidity.
I want to find a place in Baja that is rural and with a comfortable climate (in summer) where you are not wishing for an air conditioner or a heater
(in the daytime) and you are not blown off the map.
I don't need fine surfing waves or scenary, just a comfortable place to clam, fish, hike, or camp with a couple of people, and definately not in a
city.
Got any ideas?

I had one friend tell me that I would freeze my a** off in July at Mag bay.
He must be a true Arizona lover.
I originally grew up near Santa Maria California (USA) and you could definately be cold up there in July, or June (anytime except September).
This is a GREAT SITE and and GREAT bunch of people.

at Bahia Magdalena but, your stuff will be drenched every night. Most of the beaches there are mud so it's not really an ideal camp setting unless you
like to fish a lot. Shell fishing is fantastic there. But, it's in Baja Sur, not Norte.
There are some beautiful areas north and south of Erendira. There will usually be NAMLOCS during the summer but it burns off.
Check out the area on your maps and have fun.

We used to camp a lot with the family at Morro Sto. Domingo in August, the weather was pretty nice. Warm during the day but not hot. It gets a little
windy in the PM but not bad. Good surf fishing for halibut, corbina, etc. Lots of coves to explore, a nice place to spend a week or so.

We drive over to camp at San Juanico or Abreojos to get out of the summer heat for a few weeks.

There can't be any zoners left in AZ. They are all over here in San Diego! Can't miss em! Making right turns from left lane, driving 30 mph down the
freeway, doing 85 mph up Sea World Drive, wearing sweaters at the beach when it's 80 degrees.

Too bad, but its a job.
I used to live in Lompoc California near santa maria.
we had LOTS of NOMLOCS there.
HATED that. Now I have also learned to hate heat.
Thanks for the GREAT information. I guess my friend got cold when his stuff all got wet.

I want to retire somewhere like the central west coast of baja. There aren't many places like it on earth though. You need cold water in the ocean and
you have to be near the tropics. Thats the perfect combination. West coast of Peru is nice, West coast of South Africa too.
I also used to live in Hawaii and believe it or not the weather there is too hot in the summer.
I didn't have air conditioning because the electricity is high there and I couldn't afford it and eat too.
