I just finished a good book by Elizabeth Maul Schwarts.
"TROUBLED SEA"
Good story about fishermen, drugs, and adventure on the Sea of Cortez.
I recomend it highly.bajajudy - 8-17-2005 at 01:22 PM
I have that same book right here on my desk...next on my "to read" list.
BTW her "Texicans" is an excellent historical novel.

Anothere good one , " In search of Captain Zero" by Allan C. Weisbeckerbajajudy - 8-17-2005 at 02:29 PM
Yes Captain Zero is excellent too. His travels through Baja are short but sweet. Some of those characters are still around.
Just finished "Cosmic Banditos" by Weisbecker; ergo my new signature.
You can find Capt. Zero on our website.Bruce R Leech - 8-17-2005 at 03:31 PM

Jinks is her nick name and she writes great books. She has attended every book signing at the Pyramid Resort. A real Baja Gal who has spent years
in her boat( I'm not a boat guy so all I know is it was not a sailor/soldier--who knows) on the Sea of Cortezbajablue - 8-17-2005 at 06:59 PM
Judy,
how was "Cosmic Banditos"? That was the first book, correct?
Loved her book.

Just finished "Troubled Sea" and you are right, it is a great read.
Highly recommended!
I understand that she might be back on the Sea of Cortez again soon in a new boat.
Thanks for sharing it. We hope to run into Jinx in Mid Sept. . Have you met her friend Geary? He writes some fantastic short stories. I'm trying to
get him to come to the booksigning this year. kDavid K - 8-26-2005 at 06:56 AM

The first book, 'Into a Desert Place' should be the first of his three to read... as it explains his background and what brought him from England to
Baja in the first place.
All three are excellent works with much research and history of the area (specially the second and third book).
