These whales are the length of 3 school buses. There are only about 15,000 left in the world. Right now a few are in sight of land off Long Beach
and can be viewed well with binocs. Awesome sight.

Being the largest living creature on land or sea, you would think they would find a better place to hang out...Ocean here is so filthy you shouldn't
even go in it....
Huntington & Long Bch are bad water areas for sure....

I was out piercing fish today{well trying to atleast}. There were 2-3 Blue whales just off San Clemente Island today 8-20.
some other whale sightings off the coast of Baja..

Can you identify these whales by the backfins? These are more common by far than the blue whale.

Yesterday watched a pod of sperm whales about 1/2 mile from beach in front of my house for about 1 hr. here in north Barriles.
