Well, I guess you can call yourself anything you like and any handle at all gets more respect from me than "anonymous".
But, in case you'd like to know... There's no such word in Spanish (or English).

Elusive Little Devils.
The word appears to mean "unknown" somewhere in Latin America.
Two references found are (1) A hotel in Mexico "Hotel Descondido", although on their website they identify the photos of the hotel as "Hotel
Desconocido" i.e. "Unknown".
(2) A book written by Enrique Dussel on Karl Marx's 1861-1863 manuscripts. The book is titled "Hacia Un Marx Descondido", "Toward the Unknown Marx".
Dussel was Argentina-born, living in Mexico.
Y Mas:
(3)I found the word in "El Diccionario Del Espanol Medieval".
(4) Some Character named David Bryne, former frontman for the "Talking Heads" (must be a rock group) has a song titled "Descondido Soy" for whatever
that's worth.

The rumor is Rancho Buena Vista hotel and La Capilla have been sold but not a done deal, and they are plannig a golf course, much needed for this
area.

Good research, Bill. I'm sure our friend was looking for "desconocido". As for medieval Spanish or medieval English, they weren't big on spelling
rules back then. Even into Elizabethan times... How many ways did "Shaksper" spell his name?

Maybe it was just a 'typo'..and he meant to write Escondido...'hidden' ...?

Coconut telegraph has Rancho Buena Vista sold(2 payments made, one more to go) and La Capilla is going to be a golf course.
Take it with a grain of salt but I just heard that.
LaRibereņa - 8-31-2005 at 09:17 AM
Baja Pony Express reported yesterday that all residents of the trailer park in La Capilla have to be out by November 15. There are a number of
trailers listed for sale. Bad news for La Capilla!
Where is this place?
