Natalie Ann, Skeet and October

bajalera - 8-27-2005 at 04:20 PM

Natalie and Skeet, you've both mentioned being in La Paz in October. Why don't we have a party?

Anybody else interested?

Lera

bajajudy - 8-27-2005 at 04:22 PM

Jim and I will be passing through the first week and then again heading home in 2 weeks. I think that Nat doesnt come until the end of the month.
BTW, Lera what was that stuff you said you used that smoke for. I had never heard of any of those words...

bajalera - 8-27-2005 at 04:46 PM

I used smoke for something, with words you didn't know? I haven't a clue as to what you mean--could you give me some clues, please?

Great idea, Lee! How about it all you pacenos and others in the area - let's party!:bounce::tumble::spingrin:

I'm actually there Day of the Dead plus first 3 weeks November.... and 2 of us that I know of have November birthdays. Wonder if migracion will allow a couple of boxes filled with dry ice and dungeness crab?

Bajame - 8-27-2005 at 06:54 PM

Should be near there then or we could meet in Mulege and then you could go to another one in La paz! :light:

Eli - 8-27-2005 at 07:24 PM

I would make a trip to La Paz for a chance to meet you all. I will be back in Los Barriles as of Oct. 15th. Hopefully it can happen on a weekend or late afternoon, or maybe evening as I am commited to babysitting my grand daughter M-F mornings.

By the way, I will be having an open house bash at Los Angeles Gallery in Los Barriles on Nov. 1st., dia de los angelitos, alter to dad and a few others that are now on the other side. Any and everybody is welcome if your in town that day.

Saludos, Sara

Natalie Ann - 8-27-2005 at 07:54 PM

Sara - If I'm on my best behavior while visiting you, may I play with your granddaughter? Babies and children hold a special place in my heart.

Mulege, Sherry? If I come to Mulege I'll be wanting you to paddle me around in that new kayak, ya know. Good thing I like those "vegetarian" beans. ;D

Eli - 8-27-2005 at 08:40 PM

For Sure Natalie, we can hang out with her on the front porch or take her down to the beach, ya sabes, I sure am looking foreward to it.

Bajame - 8-27-2005 at 09:16 PM

Natalie, I can do alot better than beans! Cilantro, Basil pesto w/ tossed green salad/with mango/lime dressing, garlic toast, a nice glass of wine coconut/ almond pudding for desert! :bounce:

Natalie Ann - 8-27-2005 at 09:55 PM

OK, Sherry, I'm convinced. Mulege for dinner it is!:tumble::spingrin:
(And to think my normal camping fare is a tortilla wrapped around plain 'ol refried black beans, some cheese.:()

flyfishinPam - 8-28-2005 at 04:28 AM

We'll be in La Paz from 15-22 Oct staying at Hacienda del Sol to the north of town. We're up for a party or get together. Natalie you're welcome to entertain my three and five year old.

backninedan - 8-28-2005 at 07:07 AM

We will be in La Paz mid month for a few days, count us in too.

vandenberg - 8-28-2005 at 07:21 AM

OCTOBER OR NOVEMBER ??:?:

We will be in La Paz sometime in November. Sure like to meet some of you folks. Will be staying at the El Moro on the end of the malecon. Dtes are open.

Natalie Ann - 8-28-2005 at 12:07 PM

I'll be sorry to miss you, Pam, as for some time I've wanted to meet you. Unfortunately you're out of La Paz before my arrival. However, next spring I hope to fly in to Loreto, do some exploring before heading south. At that time I would be delighted to spend time with your children.... given they're 3 and 5 years of age, I'll bet they're far more entertaining than I am.:yes:

bajalera - 8-28-2005 at 01:31 PM

Great! I'll have to check with Steve on dates--sounds like it might take two parties to meet everybody I'd like to get acquainted with. [And thanks, comitan, but we've already been to your place--it's your turn to come to ours.]

Lera

May I say thank you to the Baja Lady's

Baja Bernie - 8-28-2005 at 01:39 PM

This is one of the nicest post I have read in a long time. Interesting to me that my birthday is November 29. Some of the lady's that I someday hope to meet all in one place and no chance that my bride and I will be there. We were planning on Cabo for our 50th but our plans were altered and we will not be there until April 06. A shame!
Sight unseen I truly enjoy all of your thoughts. Get some of the female newby's to attend and in the future the guys won't have a chance.
Paz

Eli please talk to me about a memoral for Dick Harrison--he and your dad were cut from the same cloth.

Skeet/Loreto - 8-28-2005 at 05:14 PM

Bernie: Are you talking about the Dick Harrison-Sailor-live in Loreto- Wifes name was Sandy??

Skeet

Another Sailor

bajajudy - 8-28-2005 at 05:30 PM

frizkie - 8-28-2005 at 07:35 PM

Oooops! I submitted the quote with no comment attached. Sorry.
Just wanted to say that I expect to be in LaPaz area in November and, Natalie, my birthday is also in November.
Sure would be great to touch base with you again Natalie and Lera and Steve and everybody else.
I'm missing Baja so much, it seems like November will never come. :( I plan to leave from Victoria Nov 1st and am also looking for a rider. I'll post that in another section tho'

Natalie Ann - 8-28-2005 at 07:40 PM

Ah! Another Scorpio, and I mighta known it would be you, Frizkie. I've got an idea.... let's you and I hug one another at the beginning of this party instead of the end?! Lookin' forward to seeing you!

The sailor statue in La Paz.... also one of my favorites. Thanks for reminding me, Judy.

backninedan - 8-28-2005 at 07:54 PM

Scorpio here too, that makes about about half of the potential La Paz get together, be afraid, be very afraid.

Natalie Ann - 8-28-2005 at 08:49 PM

Well, Dan, I've just learned that Frizkie is, like Bernie, a Sagittarius (a real powerhouse in that regard)... but I believe we've still got 'em covered. Tucker, can I tell 'em you're a Scorp? (or am I now in the doghouse?)

scorpio get-together...i'm in

eetdrt88 - 8-28-2005 at 10:26 PM

Skeet

Natalie Ann - 8-31-2005 at 07:47 AM

Yeah, but Scorpios still rule. :P:biggrin:

And Pompano... yes, it does figure. ;D

Bajame - 8-31-2005 at 08:55 AM

My Mom was a scorpio. little woman who wouldn't think twice about knocking your block off. :o She was mad at my stepdad and through the electric coffee pot at him full of hot coffee and it knock him out and bounced off his head and went through the picture window! :wow: She was mad at me for messing up the house and was throwing everything at me she could get her hands on. My friend was there and she was so scared she was trying to jump out the window from the second story! What a little woman my Mom! Loved her spirit and really gratefull that I survived it! Your right Scorpio's Rule!

Probably a different year

Good old 1944

Mike Supino - 8-31-2005 at 01:01 PM

1944 was slightly after Teddy and I made the run up San Juan Hill.

Okay, I told you guys I would throw a Dali Lama quote in where it might be appropiate---"Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer."

I just would not argue with a Lady who had a momma with a temper such as that!

Natalie Ann - 8-31-2005 at 09:47 PM

Sherry and I never argue, Bernie.
We share the great.... om!:saint::wow::cool:

And Doug - I'm still waiting for that female icon with shades.;)

Bajame - 8-31-2005 at 11:01 PM

Scorpio's are fun to be with and have a passion for life!
Can I get out of the dog house now Natalie?

Baja Bernie - 9-1-2005 at 07:31 AM

Whatever, this old Sag will withdraw from this lovefest and just 'float' above it all.
