Hi everybody,
I need to repair my leaf springs on my 88 Suburban. I'm looking to repair them in Ensenada, but I could go as south as San Quintin for repairs. I have
a mechanic friend in El Rosario, but I think that's to far south because we end up going to San Quintin for parts. Any hot tips or information would
be great.
As a last resort, I figure I could get the leaf springs from some Yonke and have my buddy in El Rosario (with my help) fix them, but I thought I would
give a yelp out there and see what's up?

The mechanic I know is Tacio (Anastacio) and his wife Catalina. Their house and mechanic area is located in the southern part of town, on the north
side of the Mex 1. I think pretty much everybody in town knows them. Plus going North or South, you have to drive by his place. Super cool man, wife
and family. Just be careful of shaking his hand. He likes to grip your hand and squeeze your hand into a noodle.
Again, if anybody has any tips, advice or information, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

have saved my butt on numerous occasions. Including getting a message to them through other travelers that I was broken down. They showed up the next
day with the parts I needed. Two hours south of El Rosario in the desert!
My first experience with them was limping back from San Carlos. I was a little beat up from the adventure so when Tacho was fixing the problem,
Catalina brought out carne asada and a wonderful meal while I was waiting.
Antonio has also set me up with some very good mechanics in El Rosario but I don't remember their names.
