We're heading back home to BCS after summer in the mountains. We plan to go south through San Felipe/Puertocitos/Gonzaga, Highway 1. We've only
driven this way once, headed north, over 10 years ago. I just remember being surprised by all the houses out there and having a hard time finding a
place to camp.We love being off by ourselves but are also comfortable in low-key campgrounds. We are not in a hurry. Any favorite spots to camp
(that you're willing to share) along that route? Any current road info (we're driving a dodge ram diesel with pop-up camper)? Any other comments or
suggestions?
Thanks for all your insights!bajapablo - 9-17-2005 at 06:09 PM

You may want to consider Nuevo Mazatlan @ KM 32, about 24 miles south of San Felipe. Clean campsites with restrooms and cold water showers. You can
check it out on DK's site. Rob
beluga is great...

Thanks to all of you. We will certainly try these places. So many people on this board spend their time in this area, I just know there are places
we will love. We will be sure to say hi to Eleazar.
