Just another continuation on the "costco Larry" theme (thought I'd better put it in the right place!) Can anyone tell me where I might find some good
quality furniture, couch,
dinning room set etc, in the vicinity of La Paz, Cabo or San Jose? Judy, maybe you could suggest some places. I'm willing to pay a bit more for
something that is comfortable. My husband hates some of the stuff we've seen as it does not promote the idea of "stretching out on the couch for a
snooze" !!!
That was why I was wondering if anyone would deliver from San Diego (we are in Canada) or if it was even worth it once you pay delivery, customs
etc.bajajudy - 9-18-2005 at 08:09 AM
I havent shopped for furniture since all the new stores hit town but I would bet that you can find just about anything you want here in Los Cabos now.
If not, La Paz for sure. We pay 25-30% customs(a very small percantage of that) and delivery to get our books imported and brought down the 1000
miles from the border. So add that to anything you thought you might buy and bring down through some sort of delivery service.
Costco has had some very nice furniture from time to time.Diver - 9-18-2005 at 08:14 AM
Wait until Costco opens. They have some nice furniture american-style and will order more for you from their on-line catalogue. Check it out!comitan - 9-18-2005 at 08:15 AM

I find it hard to believe that you haven't been able to find anything comfortable in La Paz, the San Diego Furniture on 5th Feb. Has much U.S. style
furniture and there is so many furniture stores in La Paz?? Also when you see a price for furniture in these stores in the end they will give
generaly 20 to 30% discount if you ask.

Hi Marie:
We got most fo our furntiture form Tienda 17 (San Jose, on teh way to the airport), and Galleria de los Cabos, in san Jose, close top the Telmex. The
first is consignment - depends what's in on te day you come, the latter has good furntiure at reasonable prices. and delivers to TS free.bajajudy - 9-18-2005 at 04:49 PM
Tienda 17 does have nice things from time to time but you really have to shop it...you know, check in every so often. It is not easy to find so u2u
me before you go and I will give you directions.
The other place acuity mentioned is on the same street as Telmex in San Jose headed away from town. That is the last place I bought any furniture. I
got a wonderful sofabed from him. He has new and rustic stuff. all very reasonable.
I just remembered something. There is a place on the highway next to Lizaraga's, Rigos etc. Be very careful if you buy anything from them(I doubt
you would find anything there but....) They seem to try to take advantage of people...i e overcharge. All of the prices on their furniture are for
people buying on credit but I asked the price of a table and they huddled up and came up with a price higher than the credit price including the
interest.bajajudy - 9-18-2005 at 04:51 PM
