Motel in Tecate???

John M - 9-28-2005 at 12:52 PM

Anyone aware of a pretty decent motel in Tecate, or maybe close to the border in the U.S. - close like half hour's drive?

Thanks

Cross the border, when you hit the main street turn right continue on about 3/4 mile nice motel on left. Or leaving town toward Ensenada going up the hill on the left new motel. Sorry don't remember the names.

Actually, I stole it from Neal Johns. He had hid it in his attic, a portrait he had commissioned several years ago. In all honesty he does look a year or so younger now.

We are in Hesperia. Home prices all over the desert have gone way up over the last two years or so. Joshua Tree seems to be a nice area - near perfect elevation for desert living. Desert Hot Springs is where my wife's parents lived for years. You gotta like wind to live there - parts of it aren't inexpensive any longer either.

John M, I believe the hotel Comitan is speaking of is called La Estancia Inn and it's west on Blvd. B. Juarez. I checked it out about three months ago and it's pretty nice. There is also Rancho Tecate. Please see your U2U for some more info.
