Aromas de Baja

It sure is amazing how tuned into your surroundings you can be through your nose.
Mexico is certainly no exception. AS a child I loved preusing the little tiendas and vendors wares alike but I was always shocked by the aromas Tijuana let loose. I can still remember all those smells especially when the olfacory is triggered by similar molecular events.

Traversing Baja provides many a nose-gay. Tamales Y carne o pescado cooking over open flames, the smells of the salt air, the pleasant taste of the desert in bloom soothing the nose and what about the rich balmy heavy smells of Baja Sur when it rains.
It is a lesson in nasal adventures. This must be true everywhere I suppose but growing up while visiting Mexico occasionally gave my nose an education. One I surely must continue. A learn-ed nose knows.

We all can join hands agreeing on one thing. Bad air stinks!

I'am breathing in the beautiful aroma of camarons in butter and garlic as I write. Some refried black beans and rice. Mango's for desert. Doesn't get any better. I left out a little ensalada.

The mango's are about done for the season. The guava's are still in production but gettin close to done. It rained a little today, but nothing to shout about.

See ya soon Sharky. Bruce was supposed to be back today. I'll check tomorrow.
