Some suggestions for 'reviewers'....

Hola,...I've been reviewing the 'Restaurant Reviews' for likely places that we haven't tried yet, as we're headed south next week...

The Reviews posted are great, and are helpful in finding new places to eat in Baja....but,...some are difficult to find the needed data in order to find the places mentioned...sometimes there are several follow-ups that one has to wander through in order to get all the info.

It might be more helpful if reviewers would try to include as much of the following data as possible.

1. Place name
2. City, town or village or KM marker if on highway.
3. Days open, if known and hours of operation.
4. Nearby landmark if appropriate.
5. GPS waypoint using the NAD 27 Mexico Datum, if possible so it could be located on the Baja Almanac that may of us use.
6. Description of food -
7. Any special features of the place, cleanliness, decor, amenities, etc.
8. Nearby attractions in known, beaches, shopping, motels, specialty shops, etc.

I'm not talking about a strict format or the like, just the facts, man - Place, Town, Address, Type food, Hours, GPS...

I'm going to try an remember my GPS so I can capture some waypoint data of the places we get to try out. I'll post it later in the appropriate thread back here. With this data and an appropriate waypoint name in my GPS, I'd be able to tell at a glance if I'm near a 'Nomad Reviewer Recommended Restaurant' as I'm traveling the roads in Baja...What do you think?

This would work for other types of places also, shops, motels, etc....it would make 'experts' of us all!

Thanks for listening...;)

That's a good one "Mex".

What if something changed?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::o:o:o
Or say, some old crony had a bad experience in 1960 and was still carryin on about how they got ripped off, back then I think it was "swindled", or they changed chefs since then?
Or it was a well behaved family going in or a bunch of drunk surfers/fishermen/others.

I think perhaps a client review would be a lot more accurate and interesting than something that is constantly changing and is beyond anyones control.:light:

I think it's a good idea Mexray . We're always looking for new fun places to eat  :saint:

Bobbys, La Fonda or this totally authentic place called Yaquis Tacos. (Off the beaten path!)

Fergot one VERY important aspect....

the prices!

So what if they change. If we have a date, we can extrapolate what it might be costing now if the post was a year old or more.

Otherwise, I like all the other criteria for a review.
