"I want to thank you all for your comments about my question. I posted it on another Baja board a couple weeks ago and got one response, while at the same time, there were hundreds of posts from regulars, basically insulting each other, sniping at each other, and expressing their contempt for each other.

So although this board does not have a massive number of posts, it seems to serve a good purpose. Again, I thank those of you who posted responses---they have given me the information I need to confidently make this trip."

These were the comments of a gentleman who posted a query on Fred's board, which several of us responded to with various helps and input.

I had hoped to find his original query on "that other board" but nope, unfortunately, he posted the question right here on Nomad.

And, he is correct..... he got one answer, it was brief but good, but his point is surely valid.

He posted some three weeks ago and the nasty stuff was just starting to subside over here.

Seems to me that we need to heed his comments, this board needs a lot more Baja dialog and a lot less personal sniping!

I am a little lost here. Could you give us the URL to the thread?
If no one insulted him during that period, he probably got off easy.
But I am curious as to exactly what you are talking about.

I read that post, and Bob H answered him so well, there was no need to add anything else, and nobody did... What was wrong with that?

Okay, if thebajarunner is more refering to the habit of a few to look superior by putting down those who ask questions, on other questions (not the example here)... I would certainly agree with that...
