I was thinking of kayaking it. A friend of mine has done about three quarter of the island and told me he has heard that there is some water on the

I have been all around that area many times, and never heard of any water anywhere on "the big island" - at least not drinkable water. Doesn't mean
it's not there, but I would take that story with a BIG grain of salt.
