ArvadaGeorge - 10-12-2005 at 02:22 PM

I just heard about
PETES CAMP OFF ROAD RESORT at KM166
Does any one have any information on this?
Is it open?
What is the plan?
Are they sending the off roaders away from Pete?s camp?

Im assuming your talking about Pete's camp ground near San Felipe. If so, Im not sure what you want to know. As far as I know its always open. I've camped there many times. They have hot showers and a sometimes decent resturant. I say that because I've had some very good meals there, but the last time I was there in june the service was poor and the food cold..

I think you can get most of what you are looking for on their website: http://www.petescamp.com/

You have to use IE, Mozilla doesn't display the graphics right and you will not know where to click.

I also did a google search, "pete's camp" and got quite a bit of information about the campo itself plus some information about someone running for some office named Pete Camp, and so it goes, what can we expect for free.

Yes, Petes Camp by the sea is as always open for business, Food, drink , camping etc. It;s the new resort property (KM166)that the Poker Run was held on that is nothing but trails so far!

Pete's Camp is a fun place. Lots of off road stuff, buggys and sand rails all over the place, especially when the Baja 250 or Baja 1000 is going on. Like one post says, the restaurant is hit and miss, I guess depends on who's sober enough to cook. The bartenders there will put you under the table with 2-3 kick butt Margaritas.

The Off Road Park is further north and on the west side of the highway, up by cerro Colorado where the cell towers are.
Rafael talked about it at the poker run. It's where much of the course was laid out.
There is nothing there now but soon they hope to have a 20+ mile loop finished. In the long run they hope to have shop facilities, restrooms and infield area with stadium seating. Look for something like Laughlin.
By the way it's not Pete's Camp any more. It's now called Pete's Paradise.
