Rincon, La Mona, L.A. BAY

Hola Bahia Los Angeles compa?eros...
I was recently in town and at La Gringa, and could look across the bay to a zone mapped Rincon. Seemed to be a clutch of casas out there.
What's it like?
Is this a good place to camp?
To consider for a trailer or casita?
I liked the positioning, though the northers might get your attention.
Any insight appreciated.

From what I have seen and heard... It is an area of private homes... no camping area... reported to get quite hot in the summer.

At the southwest corner of the bay there is a cool little spot you can camp. It's hotter than FOOK in the summertime in the southeast corner. You will sweat. A lot.
Cruise around down there south of town and ask folks about leases for a piece of sand to build a casita on.
I'll be down over T-day.

Yes, the southwest corner has a nice sand beach... this is just past the Munoz property and before the road to Rincon crosses the mud flats.

Thanks for the info.
Turns out the "Search" function helped, too. (?No me digas!)
Have experienced summer "warmth" in the Sonora before, so will be prepared.

Fans of the zone, what's the "hot" set-up, location and materials wise, for a modest casita in the area? Is there any sort of rental market for little oceanfront pads?
(For my family to rent for a season)

Gracias a todos...

Yes, check with Doc at Camp Gecko... www.campgecko.com he is subdividing Gecko to long term leases from the vacation camp and cabins over time... Many Nomads have already leased lots and built on them...
