Sunday we had breakfast at Primo's La Bocana Beach Restaurant... in front of the Sinahi motel and RV park... Machaca and eggs for us both... Primo
then asked us to examine the motel and RV area as he is considering it as an investment (his restuarant is not part of the motel, now).
The rooms are tiny, uncomfortable beds, and quite rustic (specially when compared to Baja Cactus).
The RV park I had seen when Hook and Bob H parked their rigs up there during the Baja Rosario Cultural Festival, last July...

I have to take my sombrero for you man, I have alot to learn...Great inf. and pictures like always..David K - 11-28-2005 at 07:43 PM
Thanks Neal...
Great back country... the western leg was tough with deep ruts in places on a road no four wheeled vehicles seem to use... Finding the petroglyphs and
blue palms mad it worth the effort!
Of interest... on the ridge top north of 'Petroglyph Park', I spotted a lone boojum tree... a real giant! This is the furthest north natural boojum I
have seen in Baja at 30?25' north latitude...
I have a photo of it, but when reduced for Nomad posting it washes out... I guess I need a telephoto lens!David K - 11-28-2005 at 07:50 PM

I strongly request that EVERYONE post their own trip reports here... no special skill is needed (we all are not Mike Humfreville, afterall)... just
write about your trip!
TRIP MAP
David K - 12-20-2005 at 09:20 PM
Here is a map to show the route with the milages from the trip log (above) at the place they are, on the map. Pieced together from four pages from the
out of print Baja Norte Almanac... as the map pages in the Almanac are not each at the same scale, the roads don't all line up perfectly.

David, have you seen this?
Juan del Rio - 12-20-2005 at 10:08 PM
Photo from Septembr 10,1963...Howard Gulick collection.
Photo titled, "Mina de Montevideo". Any comment?
FYI, the last info you gave me on Juan R. Cabillo/San Juanico was a huge hit at our home. Great background. Love the, "informericals" and other
commentary on the El Rosario area. Keep it up! I have a bunch of old photos to share from the fifties from that area as well.
...just, "lurkin' "with the rest of the "Baja World" on the board for now.
Thanks DavidK!David K - 12-21-2005 at 12:02 AM
Here is a photo I took there last Jan...
Yes, I have seen Howard's photo collection... Great Baja explorer/ author 'Lower California Guidebook'!
