That's correct, 3 brothers (and their children) have a piece of the canyon that their father claimed years ago. I don't recall the third brother's name, but he is the oldest, I think... and his adult children are doing the improvements across from Arturo's and Angel's...

Jose Loya (Junior) owns the entire canyon and all of the water rights. His oldest son, Ernesto, is currently the proprietor and has recently expanded operations. Angel Loya sold his interest (Campo II) and water rights a couple of years ago to Ernesto, but now 'operates' a couple of overflow campos within Ernesto's property (Campo III). Arturo owns the land associated with Campo I, but leases the water from Ernesto under an agreement reached last year.

The story continues to evolve and is the makings of a good Mexican Soap Opra.

Here is Canyonman Rob with wife Isabel (daughter of Arturo Loya) at my Viva Baja #2 event in 2001. Rob showed all of us a video of Guadalupe Canyon and later that year, 'M' hoster her BBBB #2 party there...
