quickest way through Ensenada?

rivergirl - 12-3-2005 at 10:20 AM

We have been traveling to Baja 6 times over the last 8 years and it always seems to take forever to get through Ensenada. We have had road construction detours over dirt roads, etc.... Last trip we stayed along the ocean on the way back, is that the best way to go now?

any way you go...

its gonna take a while...i used to take the inland way but that got to be pretty slow so lately i take the coast but it still seems to take a while except its a little more interesting of a route, best thing to do is just sit back and enjoy the ride:yes:

Quickest way is to hit it in the EARLY morning.

Just there..Great but busy....

Not much road work. Take the malicon and if you have to shop you can do it on the way south after you are on the highway (Reforma). Leys, Calimax, CostCo, Gigante, everything you need

Use the Malacon and Leave EARLY!!!!:lol::lol:

Question?? How come no body uses the "left at first signal light (down the hill from radio towers)? No traffic, very few turns (like the ones in town if you get sucked into the right turn and following the signs)

Hang in there I try to find my maps or Google a route.

Wish the toll road went over Ensenada and came out around La Bufadora...

that would be worth an extra $2.20.....

It's been a while since I took the other route of "Bob and Susans" and I'm not sure where it gets off and heads for the malicon area, I stay on the main road and you will see a group of radio towers comming up on the right. The road curves right and down hill. At the bottem of the hill is a signal light. I turn here LEFT go 6 blocks and the road angles ??(60 degrees??) right. Go right on it 7or 8 blocks it meets the main straight street throught town(there is an other signal light here), turn right and very soon it changes to 4 lane then 6 lane (I think) and goes straight out of town. It's been a while but I'll try to post my map.

Well that didn't work:(
I've forgotten that the picture has to be taken from the net.
Looking at my map of town, it is a longer route and probably slower route but NO traffic till you get closer to down town. And as I travel with a trailer and am a country HICK, traffic causes me to consume my weeks alotment of Ta-Kill-Ya at the end of the day.
