Here's to you JR...What sadness brings for the loss of someone just over the internet and never had the pleasure to meet you face to face or see the
goodness you have brought to many countless people of Baja....I will surely think of you everytime I go to Baja or log on to this great site. Rest in
Peace amigo.

I'll miss him. February 2005 I spent the night at his Bamboo Park and we had a great time talking. I was looking forward to seeing him again next
month. Here are a couple of photos I took during a walk around the area in San Bartolo. He told me about his physical problems but didn't know what it
was at the time. I had a big box of Zucaritas that we had for breakfast and he loved them so I left the box with him.
This is the spring just near his Bamboo Park

Nice thread Cardon... may I add some more photos from my camera of JR...
Here is when I first met JR at the 2003 Pyramid Resort Book Signing...
When JR invited Antonio (Baja Cactus) to his and Carol's place for the first meeting with a few of us Nomads... Here is JR taking a photo from his
bamboo trimmed porch...
JR and Carol at The Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) Baja museum at Baja Cactus' first Baja Cultural Festival in 2004...
Slightly blurred, but a great photo of JR having fun at the Baja Cactus Festival at CECUT's theatre... sitting next to Herb.
I will remember JR for the good times we shared, in person...

Shaking Jr's hand. He was so different in person than how he sometimes presented himself on this board. I'll never forget him. RIP Amigo.
