Has anyone imported mobile home/mfg housing units from the US to Baja, or bought from a Baja dealer????....Pros/cons/suggestions please

Dollar for Dollar you get a better buy using local labor and materials.

There was someone in San Felipe doing that but there is no one driving down Mex 1 with a manufactured house in tow

A friend of ours just had a double wide taken down and it cost around 9000.00 by the time he got done with the take down and setup. It was toward san feilpe. he had the trailer already. I think you are ahead just building a house depending on where you are it might be cheaper or at least you have something in the end.
Good luck Mick

I saw an article on the web that Hussongs was starting a mobile/manufactured community in Ensenada using Fleetwood as the supplier. Thought there would be an outlet there for purchase. Thanks for the info and replies

You can always move, or threaten to move, a mobil home if the lease goes bad.
