I miss JR

Don't y'all:(

Diver - 1-8-2006 at 05:38 PM

Yes.............

Strange to still feel such a loss for someone I never even met but yes, I miss him too. His absence is very noticable. Nomads will never be the same without him; I'm sure he is also missed in any other endevours he joined or pioneered.

To JR - :lol::lol:

Strange that you posted this Judy, I was thinking about how I "almost" met JR about a year and a half ago. We had just bought our first house and were about to gut the whole the whole appt. that we had been living in for five years.I tried to hook up with him/him me, so as to get all this good stuff down to his friends or whomever need such things.Well the timing was just a little off, and I did not get to meet him,but most certainly felt his spirit and miss it also....Its ok, the angels are smiling :)

Yeah, we never git to hear from some of the coup groupers anymore:bounce: whoever they are. But as JR used to remind us "you know who you are" & I'm not just countin' chickens here!:lol:

Yes, I do too,

He could be counted on to stir things up on the board; railing about the complacent, decadent, self-indulgent gringos and gabachos that are trying to impose their condo culture on baja.

Who is going to replace him?

me to:O

It reminds me of when

Howard Cosell left the booth for Monday Night Football. I had become so aggravated with his pompous attitude that I wanted him gone just like everyone else.

Then, when he was gone, I missed all the commotion he caused in the booth with Meredith and missed ranting at this latest platitude.

Maybe this isn't the best analogy, but I miss JR, too.

JZ - 1-8-2006 at 09:57 PM

It is a great analogy

Me too. I think of JR every time I see somebody doing something useful with bamboo.

when it came to stirring the pot...
