We are going to do a simple, 3 day run of the Baja Pole Line Road on April 1st through 3rd, 2006. This trip is a 3 day minimum run, and we're going
to do it - cut and dry. Expect to be driving most of the day, w/o time for long day hikes.
Drivers will get to see mid 20th century telephone poles during the last 1/3rd of the trip while scattered cobblestones will be seen in washes and
along the sides of the trail. After the run, the group will return to the USA or will have the option of visiting San Felipe. The TB and the Mrs.
will be celebrating their 5th Anniversary, so they are continuing south to San Felipe for a seafood dinner at George's Restaurant. If interested,
anyone is welcome to follow us to San Felipe, but you will need to arrange for accomodations the night of the 3rd.
The Assistant Trail Boss (TBA) will lead the rest of the group to the USA via Mex. Hwy 5 - first to the nearest PEMEX station, and then to the
International Border (Garita Internacional). There will be plenty of time/opportunities for photography and taking short breaks. We will not have
time for the 3 hr. hike up Canyon Jaquegel to investigate the mysterious Indian Hunting Blind:
Sounds like a interesting run Ken - and the weather should be the greatest that time of the year.
Might be Spring-breakers in San Felipe at that time so get those reservations early----

Spring breakers? Nope. I don't mind them, one bit!

This sounds like a nice get away. If she comes along I'm not sure my Toyota will make it up the hills and across the washes in one piece.Ken Cooke - 1-9-2006 at 05:54 PM
TW, you're more than welcome. Bring your 'Yota and your smile. I'll have my Jeep w/2 smiling KCs mounted on the bumper...

1 month to go. So far, it looks like 8 (or 11) rigs will make the journey. A sufficient number, but more are welcome as always. Hope to catch more

On the RSVP list is a bone-stock Hummer H3, a "Rock-ready" '05 Jeep TJ, a lifted/locked '05 LJ, "Rocky Rig" '03 Rubicon, a built, locked, and
Swampered '94 YJ, a flexy/built long-armed Rubicon, a "lil' pup" 2.5l TJ loaded down with brand-new bolt-ons, a Full-Size Chevy truck on 35s, and the

As you're preparing for this adventure, make a note to change your clocks to Daylight Saving Time at 2am Sunday the 2nd. Very important to be on

And you might want to checkset the offset time on you GPS and time setting in your digital camera.
And what time should I be at Georges for dinner??
Have a great trip and I'm waiting for the report--
Lou..
