Whom of you Nomads are connected to Skype ?? Would be nice to get some numbers, so we can talk to each other for free. I'm in contact with family all over Canada and Holland. And of course all my friends in California. And if they haven't joined Skype, I can call them from my PC to their regular phone for less then 2 cents a minute. If you haven't seen it yet, the download is free. Just go to www.skype.com and it will give you all the info.
edinnopolo1051 is my skype contact name.

Skype is great for skype users (free). You can also set up a "Skype Out" acct. to place LD calls from your computer to anyone anywhere very inexpensively.

We use it a lot - and have saved a lot on overseas calls.

Skype works fine for me here in Loreto.

I had In....x and that crashed constantly.

Now that Telmex/Prodigy isn't slowing their service down to block VOIP it is a very good deal.

Change that handle to "fmborden" then it will work.

I have to many of these things!!!

My direcway causes me a delay and some people have a hard time talking on it.

DirecWay VoIP

At present I have both Skype and Crystal Voice. The Crystal Voice works much better on Direcway, although the delay makes a normal conversation difficult.

I took my Skype out of my computer as I have Direcway. I found most people are just not patient enough to use or understand the delay in using it by satellite, so was not much good to me. Tho many of my friends & neighbors that need a phone ( I do not feel the need enough to deal with Telnor) use it on dial up just fine.
