I was asked by Celia Diaz of Binational Emergency Medical Care Committee to post this notice. This is important for anyone who lives in or visits Rosarito.

There are 100,200 Mexican residents and 5,000 U.S. Citizens (Americans) living permanently in Rosarito, Baja California at this time. Thousands of tourist from all over the world visit Rosarito and its surrounding areas throughout the year. You may be one of them.

On March 9th, 2006, the Binational Emergency Medical Care Committee will be hosting a one day conference at the beautiful Rosarito Beach Hotel, in Rosarito, Baja California Mexico. The theme of the conference will be: ?Emergency Evacuation Routes from Rosarito and Surrounding Areas in Case of a Man Made or Natural Disaster?

The reason we chose this topic, is because the town of Rosarito is located in a unique area facing the Pacific Ocean, with two main roads leading south or north of Rosarito. We need to show you that there are other alternate roads south or north of Rosarito in case you need to evacuate the city due to an emergency or natural disaster.

The speakers at this conference will be from the Mexican Army (2da Zona Militar), the Mexican Coast Guard (2nda Zona Naval), the U.S. Coast Guard, doctors,, lawyers, fire department, police, Red Cross and rescue teams from both sides of the U.S./Mexico border. Their topics will be evacuation procedures by land, air or sea, medical techniques and instructions on how to survive a man made or natural disaster.

Your attendance will make this conference a success and you will receive very valuable information from the experts on alternate evacuation routes and how to protect yourself and your family members in case of an emergency. You will receive a Certificate of attendance at the end of the conference.

En la Ciudad de Rosarito, Baja California, viven permanentemente 100,200 residentes mexicanos y 5,000 Ciudadanos Norteamericanos. Miles de turistas de todas partes del mundo visitan Rosarito y sus ?reas circunvecinas durante todo el ano. Usted puede ser uno de ellos.

El d?a 9 de Marzo del 2006, el Comit? Binacional de Servicios M?dicos de Emergencia, llevara a cabo una Conferencia de un d?a en el Hermoso Hotel Rosarito Beach, en Rosarito, Baja California M?xico. El Tema de la conferencia es: ?Rutas de Evacuaci?n en Rosarito y ?reas Circunvecinas en Caso de Desastre Natural o Causado por el Hombre?.

La razon que escogimos este tema, es porque la ciudad de Rosarito esta localizada en un area sin igual frente al oc?ano Pacifico, con dos salidas principales que van hacia el norte y sur de Rosarito. Queremos informarle que hay otras salidas hacia el norte y sur en caso que tenga que evacuar la ciudad debido a un desastre natural o creado por el hombre.

Los ponentes son de la 2da Zona Militar, 2nda Zona Naval, Guarda Costa de EE.UU., m?dicos, abogados, bomberos, polic?a, Cruz Roja, y cuerpos de rescate de ambos lados de la frontera M?xico/Estados Unidos. El tema de sus ponencias es sobre procedimientos de evacuaci?n por aire, mar y tierra, t?cnicas de emergencia e instrucci?n de c?mo sobrevivir un desastre natural o causado por el hombre.
