The True Value Of This Board...
...or any BB, for that matter.Baja Bernie - 11-3-2003 at 09:54 PM
What is the true value of this board or any other board for that matter? Who knows. Is it because we want to reach out and communicate with others
of like interest, in this case Baja, or do we wish to always be at war with people who share a like love of Baja.
My belief is that we all need this vehicle to increase our knowledge of this wonderful penisula and its crazy people including the likes of JR, Skeet,
Bedman, M, Minnow, Oso, George, Mike H, Jeans, Tim Sanchez, Wild Bill, and a ton of other people, ME TOO, who love Baja, but see it from a different
point of view.
The army's of the world have always found that it is so easy to destroy. Let's not do that! Let's nurture this board so that we may all have a forum
to press our points of view.Eli - 11-4-2003 at 05:16 PM
Here, here, Don Bernie, I"ll drink to that!

First time reading this board and last time !!! Can't believe how much crap goes on in here. You people need to grow up..Anonymous - 11-7-2003 at 07:55 AM

1st time on board
Ski Baja - 11-7-2003 at 09:17 AM
In spite of mine and others incessant ramblings, petty arguments that go away, and some downright BS that goes on on these boards, that statement made
by Crazyolbob was the most ridiculous one I have seen so far. Adios El Gringo Wingo, don't let the puerta bruise any of yer body parts.

It is the way of some folks to toss out the baby with the bathwater.
True meaning of this board
Marie-Rose - 11-14-2003 at 05:55 PM
I'm a little confused about some of the name calling etc that I have noticed esp. over the last week BUT must say that I have received so much great
info and encouragement about our first drive to Baja!...I can't wait..and that's what is so great about this board. Thanks to those replies from
Skeet, Neil Cox, Phil S, Frizkie (Barb)and all those stories from Mike H... I'm anxious to get to see some of the missions because of David K. ...and
Baja Steve ...you obviously are great supporters of Mexican tradition and I am learning those lessons from you!!!

Please don't let the fatmouthing scare you off. There are many nice folks here, all with different attitudes and once in a while a few just go nuts.
Ignoge them and either don't open their ranting posts or ignore them when they are injecting themselves into a thread you care about. You'll learn
their names quickly and even when they change them, you'll soon ID their verbal profile. On the other hand, sometimes their rants are interesting
reads.
But please be aware that many of us are just simply ignoring them. Its a price we pay for the limited moderation we collectively seem to want.
Thanks for your kind words, they were not unnoticed, and now share your Baja experiences and questions with us.Bajabus - 11-14-2003 at 11:28 PM

When I signed off last night I logged out for the first time since I logged on a number of months ago. There are too many arguments.
So we quit and let the AH's, so few in number win? No thank you.
There are so few jerks that choose to disrupt the rest of us "friendlies". Just let them go, ignore them and keep your meaningful contributions
coming.
Do you know that on the baja.com board several contributors came down on their own for too much fatmouthing on nomads and in an unfavorable style?
That's integrity. Here's to Baja.com for fairness, openness at least.
What we're going through is a small evolution in Internet bahavior. It is certainly disruptive and, if possible, we need to just sit back and watch
as a few jerks make complete idiots of themselves and wish they had no need to do so and that they get well soon.
Life goes on and those of us who have become friends, posting or in person, in the past, present, or the future can continue with our lives and loves.
Here's looking forward.

I know you won't be reading this as yesterday was your last Nomad day, but I wanted to thank you for your closing statement. I got the biggest grin on
my face with your G.K. comment...I think I'll send you an email and tell you the same.
